Terms and Conditions

These terms apply when you use viewfinder360, which is run by viewfinder360 ("we"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data.

The service

viewfinder360 identifies buildings from photos and your camera, and gives you information about them using AI and public data sources.

AI results can be wrong

Building names, outlines, facts and chat answers are generated by AI and third-party data, and can be incomplete, out of date or incorrect. They're for general information only. Don't rely on them for professional, legal, financial, safety, valuation or construction decisions, and check anything important with a reliable source.

Your account

• You must be at least 16 to use viewfinder360.
• Please give a real email address, and keep your password secure.
• You're responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us straight away if you think it's been misused.
• Each person should have one account.

Credits and plans

• The Free plan includes 5 credits a day, which refill at midnight UTC. Unused credits don't carry over.
• A photo scan uses one credit, and a Live session uses one credit for up to 12 AI scans, then another.
• Credits have no cash value and can't be transferred.
• We may change the Free plan and its allowance, and we'll give notice of any significant change.
• Fair-use limits apply to all plans, including "unlimited" plans, to protect the service.

Paid plans

Paid plans aren't on sale yet. Asking for one doesn't commit you to buying, and doesn't change your plan. The price, billing period and cancellation terms will be shown to you before you pay, and your legal rights as a consumer, including any right to cancel, aren't affected.

Using the service properly

You agree not to:

• break the law, or trespass or put yourself or others at risk while using the app
• upload anything you don't have the right to use, or anything unlawful or harmful
• use the service to monitor, identify or harass people
• try to get around credit limits, rate limits or security measures
• copy, scrape, resell or reverse engineer the service, or overload it with automated requests

Please pay attention to your surroundings when using your phone outdoors.

Your content

You keep ownership of your photos and anything you write. You give us permission to process them, and to pass them to our service providers, only as needed to run the service for you.

Our content

viewfinder360, including its name, logo, design and software, belongs to us or our licensors. Map data comes from OpenStreetMap contributors (ODbL), and facts come from Wikipedia and Wikidata under their own licences.

Availability

We work to keep the service running, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of errors. It relies on third-party services, and features may change or stop at any time.

Ending your account

You can ask us to delete your account at any time by emailing hello@viewfinder360.com. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put the service at risk.

Our liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't legally be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Your rights as a consumer aren't affected. Subject to that, we aren't liable for decisions you make based on information from the service, or for loss that wasn't reasonably foreseeable.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We'll post changes here and update the date above, and tell you by email if a change is significant. If you keep using the service after that, the new terms apply.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and its courts have jurisdiction. If you live elsewhere in the UK or EU, you keep the protection of your local consumer laws and may bring a claim in your local courts.
